Rancho – the brand that launched the industry's first adjustable shock absorbers – is again turning up the technology in the suspension marketplace through the launch of the exciting new MyRide tuning system. The tuning system – a combination of multiple Rancho innovations, like a patented tri-tube, mono-flow design and oil flow metering system – also includes the launch of the industry's first and only MyRide Wireless Controller.
Developed to make adjustable ride control simple and precise, the Rancho MyRide Tuning System makes it easy for a driver to adjust the ride from firm to soft and anywhere in between.
“We are catering to the enthusiast who is driven to personalize their truck, Jeep or SUV,” said Rancho General Manager Joe Pase. “There's no better way to control and play with their ride style based on where they're driving and how they'd like to drive…and it's as easy as tuning your radio!”
The MyRide Tuning System includes the industry-first MyRide Wireless Controller that allows for wireless, in-cab tuning of RS9000XL series shock absorbers. The Wireless Controller includes a variety of one-touch presets, including Highway, Sport, Tow/Haul, Off-Road, and a driver-determined MyRide, which allows the owner to set his own preferred ride setting and save it for future use.
“The Rancho MyRide Tuning System and Wireless Controller are cutting edge,” said Joe Pase, Rancho General Manager. “Not only do you have accurate control over exactly how your shock absorbers are performing, but it's an instant adjustment over the front and rear shocks even when the vehicle is in use…and you can control it in the palm of your hand!”
Operating on a unique RF band to avoid interruption, the Wireless Controller also features a backlit screen with powersaver mode and a convenient, readily available AAA battery power. Replacement controllers with easy to operate synch cable will also be available.
The Wireless Controller's versatile design allows for mounting or storage virtually anywhere within the vehicle. Utilizing a water-resistant construction, the Wireless Controller has a range of operation between 45 to 50 feet.
The Rancho MyRide system features a powerful, quiet-running air compressor, solenoid switching manifold, air lines and necessary fittings. Including simple, easy-to-follow directions, the new MyRide system is easily installed and requires no programming.
The MyRide Controller wirelessly tunes any front and rear mounted Rancho RS9000XL series or Rancho QuickLIFT shock absorbers.
Rancho extra-large RS9000XL shocks absorbers – finished in Liquid Silver Metallic – feature adjustable damping with up to a 2.75-in. diameter body, delivering 48-percent greater oil capacity. The massive shock body allows the RS9000XL to run cooler and more consistent even under the most demanding towing conditions, enhancing performance and durability, and is constructed with a larger than typical 18-mm diameter chromed piston rod.
The system also is compatible with Rancho RS9000XL Pro Series shock absorbers, an exclusive Rancho design that pairs the MyRide Tuning System with a gas-charged remote reservoir. Providing more consistent performance over a longer period of use, RS9000XL Pro Series shocks includes a lightweight anodized aluminum reservoir and high-pressure stainless steel braided hose. The Pro Series shocks are available in extended-length designs for custom off-road use and direct-fit lengths for use with a Rancho suspension system.
Compatible with the MyRide Wireless Controller, Rancho RS9000XL Pro Series Coil-Over shock absorbers are ideal for custom-built vehicles. RS9000XL Pro Series Coil-Overs, which include Rancho® by Eibach® springs, are offered in 32- and 36-in. extended lengths. The Rancho coil-overs feature an advanced remote reservoir that provides additional fluid campacity for maximium performance in extreme off-road use.
The Rancho MyRide Wireless Controller also works with the company's QuickLIFT™ technology – another Rancho exclusive – that allows owners of many late-model light trucks and SUVs to upgrade to larger tire and wheel packages without a suspension system. The Rancho QuickLIFT fixed-seat coil-overs replace OE spring-seat shocks and feature a nitrogen gas-charged tri-tube patented mono-flow design with the MyRide Tuning System. QuickLIFT provides 1- to 2.5-in. of additional lift that provides an aggessive stance and added performance.
